Sorry, vbSEO 3.5 break the site, so…

i updated vbSEO to the latest today, and aside of the great admincp they now have, the script is breaking my site… so i disabled it until further notice… people will see oldstyle urls for a period.

why didn’t you just go to 3.3.2 then? The broken URL’s isn’t that good for people to find you…

    nothing was supposed to happen…

anyway, with more than 500 unique visitors per day, they will continue to find me… 😉

… i mean, i don’t care about SEO, search engines continue to do their work, people link to this site because of vb.org and vb.com…

AFAIK, most of these links won’t be properly redirected now, having vbseo disabled.
Have you already opened a support ticket as requested?

    SEO back with 3.3.0…

  5. kevinl dit :

hehe thats what I was getting at…the links not redirecting 😉

Merry Christmas…and Happy Boxing day? :grin_Kiss:

yeah, horrible, the actual vbSEO is not even working like it was, so it’s a real mess… vbSEO.com support are actually on vacation so i will have support later.

any reason why your url structure (amongst a couple of other settings) has been changed from what you had before?

  8. nexia dit :

yeah, i have no access to vbseocp right now… bug somewhere that even the staff can’t find.

ok, bug fixed with vbSEO… strangely, the old installation was modified so the url rewrite rules were a complete mess compared to the suggested structures. I’ll have to suspect someone who work too much to have applied rules that i was not aware of… lol

so, things are now ok… back to 3.3.0 and running well…

lol, since you’re running 3.3.x again, can’t you just re import your old vbseo_all.xml again? I have to admit, I’ll be missing the Turkish pagination

  12. nexia dit :

oh gosh… i now understand WHO modified these urls… rofl

i thought the arabic words were by default because of Mert’s actions in the project…

    MMMMEEEEERRRRRTTTTTTT

  13. Taragon dit :

lol, he’s definitely the best guy to call for in case of assistance, but he didn’t misplace your vbseo_all.xml backup I assume :grin_Wink:
…which will probably cost me pointers for writing this somehow, but it’s all for the seo good :grin_Halo:

  14. nexia dit :

he did not loose it, he used his own… rofl

  15. kevinl dit :

LOL!!!!! I guess thats the easy way!!!

  16. mikey1991 dit :

is that why these urls are so weird? 😮

  17. nexia dit :

    yeap, exactly.. lol

i’ve set them to something i like, but they are also different from the suggested structures. remember that i work with wordpress more than anything, and the vbSEO engine is not even considering the wordpress permalinks as prefered structure, witch is for myself a big lack of personalization…
