Depuis peu, je me suis mis à traduire les produits que je distribue sur ce site, et j’ai l’intention dans les prochains jours de distribuer ces traductions à l’intéreur de chaque diffusion de produit, afin de satisfaire à tous les français qui ont besoin de ces gadgets.

Le français utilisé est donc « international », sans distinction pour la France ou d’accent québécois. Les fichiers de phrases seront disponibles en attachment séparé en attendant que je mette à jour les produits, mais lorsque ce sera fait, tous les produits ayant une traduction auront le fichier intégré à l’archive, pour éviter de downloader plus de fichiers pour rien.

La diffusion de ces traductions devrait se faire dans les prochains 48h, pour les intéressés!

ok, anyway, a guy here is asking me for a job to be done. i attach the whole thing in this attachment, you can read the deposit.rtf which is the description of the job.

it’s been listed 500$ on vb.org but nobody was able to do it. He is giving me 600$ for a deadline of 6 weeks after approval. what do you think of it? i approved it for myself, i know most of the requests are quick to do… the quick stuff can be done in 2 weeks of work, then 4 weeks for the complicated things.

i told the guy i could do the job for 300$ if i have full rights over it.. the 600$ is for an exclusive task. if i do it for 300$, i release it on completion, like 100$ or more… i actually told the guy and he was ok. i prefer the 600$ for the year of exclusivity *(always like that)

First release of this useful engine that can be in good company within a website that provides support and service at the same pace as a real office.

Besides the fact that it is always complicated to have a real indicator of live support, it is also complicated to have a solution for vBulletin that is purely integrated with the software itself. As you can see from the homepage, there is some new sidebar blocks popping up from time to time… i just coded a new one this morning to display the list of our releases… it is seperate from the complimentaries because the content is meant to be different… 🙂

So what about these blocks?

In the next days, when i have the time after all these updates, i’ll release a new Forumhome Engine, which is just a bunch of these blocks in a new FORUMHOME template that contain the elements of the page in a different way to show things…

personally, the forumhome is supposed to be a portal of some sort, to resume the whole content of the site… that will be the case with this template modification. this is a small modif actually, nothing fancy, no master core engine, just a template edit to move things around…

i will not add major blocks to it, but the door is open to who wants to play with it. So instead of creating more little blocks to the What’s Going On block, you can wrap them up within that new forumhome page.

it was requested to add the subscriptions to the statistics, and i thought it was a good idea, but…

for that, i needed to edit the statistics table in the database and add a new entry each day for the number of subscriptions of the day. the problem was that the update of stats is without any hook, so i had to replicate the process and make it work in the « daily cleanup »… hopefully, nobody deactivate that cronjob, isn’t it?

version updated to 1.1.0, with the addition of the « New Subscriptions » display, and some esthetics changes. Now you can show the number of new subscriptions in the main page, giving a good idea of the members membership. This is a on/off switch.

i dont want my users to stay logged in all the time i want to put a limit of no use and then they get logged out how do i do this

is there anyway to turn off the fonts and size when making a thread with vbulliten?

The MTF Points system is installed on the site right now, for testing purposes…

The MTF Points system is based on a logic of commercial purchases on a website, it’s not a game or a system to gain credits by posting on this site… You will not be able to use these points if you purchase any yet, but in the near future, it will become the main mean to purchase products and support here.

There will be a complete description of the engine soon, and a list of all the possible usages you can have with it… But lets say that right now, people can purchase points with it, and when needed, claim a refund, which will be sent to their paypal account *(because i do not have anything else than paypal right now). This refund is managed by moderation, the system manager (admin or super-mod) have the access to approve a refund or not. You can imagine that it’s more complicated that way, but for a company, it is more efficient to have a direct access to that kind of transaction, and it’s the best way to control what we have in hands.

There is already such kind of system on sitepoint.com or 99designs.com where they have a payment process based on points that you purchase via paypal to pay for an Ads or open a Project. Now you will be able to own such system, and it is designed to fit any kind of community, of any size!
