was never released, is commercial, and is filled with a load of features…

For the ones who don’t know yet, Michael Jackson died last week, and today is the memorial event in Los Angeles.

I’m watching the show on tv, just to be sure nobody say one day that i did not know about that event…

I was not a big fan of Michael, but i always respected him as a great signer and a symbol for everybody on earth. I think that the guy himself was great, because he was able to lead a group of signers and he was breaking all the charts… at 50, he was still not forgotten, imagine… even after what, 15 years without a hit…

People loved him, the world will continue to love him.

God blessed Michael, now he is part of the stars.

I apologize in advance if this is the incorrect forum for this request. While I am a programmer and have done much web development using phpBB and
other products and am quite familiar with php, RoR, and CakePHP etc, I am
engaged with a client in a marketing role and we need a specific set of
dynamic CMS type enhancements for a segment of the client’s site. I do not
have the bandwidth to put together the pieces and experiment to get them
where we need them so I am searching for someone with the expertise to
deliver the following. I have looked at Ning, vBulletin, and several other
technologies. We are happy to pay just for the consult as well even if we do
not go in the vBulletin direction.

The task is for a boat manufacturer that has an existing web site – we have
a new marketing program called Team BoatBrand for some sponsored Pro
Staffers and need web presence for the Team BoatBrand Pro Staff. Essentially the Pro Staff landing/home page would contain:
– Images and small description of each Pro Staffer that links to each Pro
Staffer’s personal page
– Latest N Blog Articles posted by Pro Staffers that pull from the Pro
Staffer’s personal blogs
– Latest N Images/Videos posted by Pro Staffers that pull from each Pro
Staffer’s image/video gallery
– Pro Staff Calendar that has all events from individual pro staffer’s
calendars
– Link to standard forums for our customers to interact with the Pro
Staffers as a group etc and access our support
– Each Pro Staffer’s Personal Page Would Include
– Pro Staffer’s name bonafieds, image of staffer and boat etc
– Pro Staffer’s Blog with artciles that can include images and video
– Pro Staffer’s image and video gallery
– Pro Staffer Calendar
– Look and feel consistent with existing site (headers, footers, navbar
colors etc) after basic functionality is correct

So we are looking for someone to tell us which components to purchase, put
them together to our specifiication on an account on our existing Centos 5
server ( PHP5, MYSQL5, Apache2, etc) design a basic the look and feel of the landing page with the above elements and a template for pro staffer personal pages. Once in place we are confident we can handle any future PHP programming and tweaking to dial the pages and UI in, but we do not have the time to spare on getting the functionality and ability to drag the desired elements out of a CMS and it’s DB etc, and get the site functional with a nominal layout. We can also handle further tailoring of the UI elements, CSS, etc as well. Looking at vBulletin I surmise we need the forums, the blog, vBadvanced CMPS and/or Dynamics, and a quality Image.Video gallery that bridges well with vBulletin. We do not want to use every plug-in out there as we want to minimize the pain when updates to our core components roll out (updates and mod updates were a nightmare in phpBB)

While we had someone playing with Ning for a bit we don’t care too much for
the sluggish performance and dumbed down programming model they offer
although we like many of the features. phpBB3 has plenty of mods but does
not seem as mature as vBulletin and it’s add ons. We are trying to find the
right set of components to make this CMS app what we need it to be, and the right programmer(s) to get it done professionally. The company has had
numerous false starts and now finally understands you get what you pay for
especially in web development.

I would also like to arrange a phone call if possible. I am located in FL and am on EDT.

For a long time now I have been pondering on the idea about a sign handle generator. I have one experienced and very talented developer on board. And we have the graphics developer on this project. I am mainly posting to see what kind of features that a sign handle generator could have. Something out of the box with a little uniqueness to it kind of script.

I’m aiming for something creative yet different and am posting here on the chance the discussion can lead to some brainstorming of ideas.

The project hasn’t started as yet and could commence anytime soon. :grin_Smile:

I just see in the minute someone who registered with a fake email account and subscribed for a Member Key with a fake email on paypal as well…

because the guys who will « share » what you stole will need support for these things, they will require upgrades, customizations, they will also need to talk to me because they like my work and they want to have more…

i don’t think so, because you are unable to code, you don’t even know what is definition of php…

because leechers are doing good for me, bringing a better reputation to my site, bringing hits too, because once you release anything on a nulled forum, people visit my site to know more about my work… and google like it too, my pagerank raise dramatically in the last months, due to your stupid actions…

This cronjob with the menu related to it will let you set a Opening/Closing Hour period for the v3arcade, if you want the members to visit on specific hours.

As you can see in this screeny, you can also set who can override this feature.

This engine requires that you upload a cron file in the proper location, so you have to see the « UPLOAD_FILE » and do it in the same folder structure in your server.

If you set a message, here is what it will look like:

remember that the cronjob have to work at least once to be set.

note: 06/07/09 : no version change, bug fix… added an include file because cron was working perfect when called by hand, but not working when automated…

Maybe a remake of This here vBMicroStats – vBulletin.org Forum maybe something a little cleaner looking though?

Ok so today i think i have finished off MTF releases (finally!)
Anyway i wanted to make sure i got all the features in so here is a run down of what ive included:
1. New Postbit – similar to vb.orgs but not same
2. Tag Modification
2a. View Tag Page Exists
3. The fowling custom fields: Price, Version, Supported, DB Changes, Uses Plugins, Edit Templates, Auto-Template Edits, Re-usable Code, Code Changes, Additional Files, Translations , External Content, Beta Stage
4. Attached Files are hidden until a license is purchased using credits UNLESS product is free in which case files can be downloaded with out a license
5. Payout Sets – In Admin CP you set up percents of profits are given on a set basis
5a. Sets can be forum specific with an option in the forum manager for payout set
6. Modifications Tab in User profile with that users Modifications
7. A View Licensed Mods Page where a table of all modifications that user has a purchases license for
8. Built-in support for my points engine

Things I Left Out which i didn’t feel fit that you might have expected (if you think i should add them tell me)
1. Installed Mods – Why have it when we have licenses?
2. Co-Authors – Why have it to begin with pretty much useless except for credit?
3. Coder/Designer Titles – Why would a company care?

I think thats about it any suggestions please tell me

Oh and one other thing how much should we charge for this?
