A section for people learning to code

Hi,

Ive only just started to learn to code and must admit it is quite daunting! The actual php dosent look too bad, however its then intergrating it with vbulletin.

I was wondering if you fancied creating a section for people in the same boat as myself. Somewhere we can come to get a little bit of help and advice when stuck.

Nexia, maybe you could even take a couple of your simple mods and give a step by step approach of how you created them!

Regards

Dave

For our safety to all, and for our own business, Paypal policy…

Ok, some guys pmed me about their subscription that is refused by paypal, for some reasons… Because of some experiences in the close past, it was decided that only instant payment would be accepted on this site.

So you can use your Credit Card on the Paypal page, or with your Verified account.

Here are the restrictions:

For U.S. residents, Block payments from U.S. users who do not provide a Confirmed Address.
Block payments with eCheck (process thru your bank account) or German bank transfer for all website payments except eBay.

Why we do this?… because we have experience with scammers who pay with a german bank account that is not verified, and usually, nullifiers who pay with their unverified account that is funding from an non-existing bank account.

So what are the solutions?… Add Funds to your paypal account from your bank before doing any transaction here… it is safer for you, and for us.

If you use your credit card, remember that some countries refuse transactions with Paypal, so it’s not our fault if your card is refused, do not come here to report the situation or complaint… we don’t care, it’s not our business — go complaint to http://paypal.com!

And we are not accepting anyother kind of transaction… no wire-transfer, no other payment processor. Paypal is safe for us, so it is safe for you too.

A new roundup of products releases begins

As in the past, my « reputation » of being a prolific coder have to be rehearsed as i stopped producing new addons lately…

So just to be sure everybody is aware that there is life here, i have to announce a new roundup of products that start this week-end, with a rythme of 3 to 5 new products per week. Not all of these products are master pieces, but at least one master tool will be released per week.

We will also release at least one product/hack related to members requests each week. So if you need something to be coded, just post them in the forum named  » I need something for my vB « , so we can evaluate the concept with you and see if this can be done on a free or paid version.

It is to be noted that most of our products are still in the backstore, waiting to be updated to vBulletin 3.8.x… you can see a bunch of taken-over works in the  » Nexia’s Homeworks « , and they also have to be updated or simply abandonned…

Our goal is to release better engines than the existing ones, so it MAY occur that you see something released here that exists on vb.org or another site… we assure you that all our releases are genuine to vbEnhancer.com, and they are never copied or duplicate from existing stuff… we code them our way, they are working our way, and they are usually better or at least answer our clients need in a better way.

ok, let’s get back to the drawing board!

New Subscription, New Forum Structure, New Community

In the last days, this site was kinda cloaked because no download was permitted during our restructuration… now is the end of it.

The forum was redesigned to host a better place for the « community » side of things. At first, as this site was more a repository of my work, there was just support and releases… But as the times changes, people requested more attention from myself and the new members are more interested to chat and talk publically about their needs… so i comply to this.

I’ve made some major changes in how the forum is built, and i will add more or modify the existing stuff even more if people want new things. This is an internal policy here: listening to the community.

Also, something different for a change, a place where coders can meet, where admins can share, and where people can advertise their services and products. Each sections of this forum are now directed to a single usage; discussions, releases, support… and fun!

Some specific areas of the forum requires a paid subscription to have access to them. The Enhancements forum is completely paid access. Everybody is free to visit for a view/reading but to have access to the downloads, you need to pay the minimal subscription called « Basic Enhancements Access« . This basic access gives you access to the freebies download and to all the support discussions.

To have access to the more specific products released here, you have to purchase the subscription related to each of these products. These subscriptions are used to give access to the files, and to basic support for each of them. If you need customization and more, you will need to contact the author.

All our products have a basic « lifetime » subscription, you never have to renew a subscription to buy a product, and you do not have to purchase a second « branding free option », as all these costs are included in the first purchase.

So these are the changes. Some additional informations are to be posted in the specific forums you visit.
