As per now, Drew, at SiteMart.us is now owner of the MTF engine

As a proof of reliability, we’re continuing the development of the master engine called Multi-Types Forum, the MTF.

Drew was the one developing the core engine of the MTF as well as its exclusive Releases engine which was planned to be released in the next weeks, and as he is interested to continue the legacy, vbEnhancer.com and Nexialys.net are giving him the entire ownership of the script and project.

Drew plan to release the engine soon, and you will be informed of this on this site until it close, and the official url is: SiteSmart

Good Luck Drew!

Ray Morgan prefer Paul M’s attitude, thanks for it

Ray Morgan, everybody knows him now, is the new leader of IB coming to manage Jelsoft’s vBulletin.

no problem for me, but he just replied to my complaint against Paul M regarding the ban… the only thing he said was that his company wants polite and respectuous contacts with the clients… ok, so threatenings and bans are polite?

anyway. I summoned him to force Paul M to delete my account with all the threads related to my products on vbulletin.org, and also to deactivate all my licenses on vbulletin.com.

So this site is going to be illegal by the end of the week.

Do i had to calm down and shut it off ?… sure no, why would be a lamb?… in the last 3 years (because i did not calculate in the past), i told all my clients that vBulletin was the best forum software there is… i can count at least 150 of my clients that switched to vBulletin because of my own knowledge of the software, being able to support and code for them.

So now i can not support them anymore, because i am not supported by the company, i’m even considered like a moron.

So be it… sorry people, but even if you are good clients, i can not run that kind of life, being considered as a slave or a lamb.

this domain is now on sale.

the load of bugreports on vb.org is helping us here!

As i released some of my stuff on vb.org, a lot more people reported bugs from these releases, making my work much easier as i will be able to fix everything during the week-end.

we had guinea pigs on vb.org who tested about everything just for the fun of it, but it was not under all possible situations, and features lacking tests were not improved… like search boxes not giving results etc… i’ll be fixing all of the reported problems from vb.org by the week-end, as it is announced to be rainy here!

😉

What a great coders community Announcements have to look like?!

Today in the News, we have nexialys, who released 32 mods on vb.org, for the pleasure of all the members here. nexialys have the reputation to be red blooded and swift, but he also have the sense of sharing, and he make us the great privilege of releasing for us a good list of useful addons for vBulletin 3.8.

At the same time, we have to announce that vb.com have a change of rules and changes of forum structure that you may be interested to read here… >> link to the official announcement < < For MOTM, we wish all the luck to the nominations, which are

 • Hambil’s Weighted Polls
 • Web Crawlers Bundle
 • RSS Feed Rethink
 • Forum Channels, a different way to see your forums
 • Private Messaging Shelled

We welcome you to post your suggestions to the New Site Administration, managed brightly by Mister X and Miss Y…

even there, i see on a lot of coders community that the life is well announced and shared… on vb.org?… it’s just bullshited

Reported posts Goes to Moderation Queue

Will simply put each reported posts to the moderation queue. Will not be active for the moderator of that forumid, but will if you are admin.

No screeny, it’s a function. each post reported will be checked; if the poster is a moderator or admin, the post is not put in queue. but if you are an admin and report a moderator, it goes to queue anyway…

Oh My, Oh My…

Did you see that page: vBulletin.org Forum – View Profile: nexialys … looks like i was occupied on monday the 11th…

I released all that was possibly releasable from the Freebies, and it’s not finished. but i also found that i « forgot » a lot of very useful hacks in the Workshop… forgot to release them here too… so i’ll be updating these products in the next days, and i’ll post them on both sites.

Also, i want to thanks everybody who played and tested my releases in the past, i plan on creating new engines soon, and as the MTF is mostly ready, we will have that great product to promote soon too!

another take-over, Redlinemotorsports

Redline was lately very occupied in the military and with his health… two months ago he asked if someone could takeover one of his engine: vBulletin.org Forum … and as i was unaware of this request *(don’t know how i missed this post), i did not know it was there until today.

So i talked with Brooks (his name though) and told him vbEnhancer.com could takeover his work… he was happy enough, as his first words were

Wow nexialys, thanks.

… thanks is well enough for me to takeover such work.. 😉

ok, so, guys, if someone want to recode his engine to make it more efficient, you are welcome to do so, as it will be re-released on vb.org with a new version. if you are not doing it, i’ll be doing it. there is a bunch of things in that product that need rebuilding, like duplication of hooks and functions, a heavy install script that can be minimized a lot, etc…

this is free job, your name will be on it. it also need minimum support on vb.org and here once it is re-released.

Similar Threads built by Prefixes

this engine is quite simple actually, i code it right now, but it’s so much fun that i ask for suggestions.

Similar Threads is usually driven by keywords… my addition/substraction will add a Similar Threads block based on latest threads released with same prefix…

so instead of browsing the forum again for a topic related to the same prefix, you can see the latests in the footer. 😉

Hambil’s Weighted Polls

Allows for different usergroups to have different ‘weights’ when voting in a poll. A usergroup with a weight of 5 would have 5 times the voting power of a usergroup with a weight of 1. Weighted Polls are optional, and in addition to regular polls.

Based on Hambil’s first Weighted Polls engine which is now obsolete, this one is way more efficient, have less queries, and is easier to manage in permissions.

A good usage for this feature is when you have Elections, Votes on Who’s Hot or Not, etc… You then give your more representative members a higher weight in polls.

Here are the screenies:

Usergroup Permissions:

How it shows when you create/edit a poll (see last option in the list):

And how it looks when you add a new icon and prefix in forumdisplay:
