This is on ‘quick reply’ I haven’t tried with an ‘advanced reply’

Ok, vbEnhancer.com is a place where we merged different vBulletin support sites into a single one, and to avoid messing too much with the settings, we only merged users when they had the same email address.

So if you were a former member of one of the sites we merged with, you may see your old username somewhere and want to merge it with your new account…

The only way possible will be to PM me or Contact Us with the details of both accounts… username and email, plus your password…

Most of these accounts have no post, so it’s usually useless to merge accounts… but if you really want to do so, we can do it — remember it’s a basic feature in vBulletin, so refusing to do so it pathetic!

Will give style to Ranged and Recuring Events

Here is the default display of a calendar with a Single day, a ranged and a recuring events….

Here is what you get with this product:

See the detail with the ranged event, a ending gray line which identify the end of the event. The recuring event is just plain blue with italic, but can be anything else. The example is simple, subtil, but that was my goal here… you can edit the product template to make a CSS with better style.

This is a list where you put all the userid of the members/admins/super-mod who do not want to receive the email alerts on each Report or Infraction made on the forum.

This is a simple whitelist of a sort, because you may not want all the moderators to receive these reports emails… (i personally hate to have these emails, but some like them)

in the Admincp >> vBulletin Options >> User Infractions

Engine Updated: added the choice to send the email to different types of persons…

Show Thread Stats below the navbar (replace forum-description)

This is a simple hack that can be enhanced a lot by adding more stats or rules, depending on what you want to do with it. This is a really basic startup for coders with ideas!

Hide the Quick Reply Form if the Thread is closed — Admin and Mods too… and tell the guys that this thread is closed in thread reply.

Always wanted to see what these images looked like in the Attachment Popup? (yeah, the paperclip you see in the Forumdisplay page)

The only thing that is changed is that each image attached to a thread now show its thumbnail *(if you activated the thumbnails in your manager AND if the usergroup have permission to view thumbnails)

This simple tweak will handle it very efficiently, without any dB change, no code change, no template edit… actually it’s a template replacement, which occur only when the product is active.

A non-official opening is now in action. We’re accepting new members to visit and post requests and suggestions now that the site is pre-opened. BTW it is improper to think that we will execute any request before the official opening that is scheduled to be in the next weeks, before the end of the month.

I never put solid dates when planning a project, because anything can happen. We are waiting ’til the MTF engine is set and ready before making the move, and we plan on re-releasing a bunch of commercial products by then. In the next days i plan on posting more freebies, letting most of my stuff available for free and for all. I suppose i will have doubled the number of my releases before then.

a note: any interested coder/designer is now able to postulate for a situation on the site, but remember that i’m heavy to work with. It’s not a freelancer’s site, you will not have a job because of your cute smile…

Will place your Private Messaging pages in their own shell, outside the UserCP.

As you can see here, it’s a complete rewrite of the Private Messages page, outside the UserCP Shell, and with a different way to show the Messages Listing — based on most of the emailers we know (search fields on top, not in the bottom)

Here is the only setting you have to change if needed, it is located at:

Admincp >> vBulletin Options >> Private Messaging Options

Can be completely recustomized as it’s template based.

no template edit, no file edit. All plugins.

• no more need of the TMS engine to edit the usercp sidebar… in the USERCP Sidebar, the Private Message block will vanish in all situations.
• folder jump now works
• confirmed/unconfirmed alert is now showing on top, in its own box
• sidebar title is now « Private Messaging »
• sidebar folder names now go bold when you’re in them (css typo corrected)

I’ve been asked lately if it was possible to have free addons and support on the site when it comes online again. The answer that i could possibly give is « no », because of some obvious reasons, but it’s not a solid no…

There is a place where support and addons are free, in the Freebies forum, where we release minimalist products.

You have to remember that vbEnhancer.com is not about free releases of products and hacks. vBulletin.org Forum is the place for free stuff, and it will always be that way. vbEnhancer.com is a place for our commercial-size releases, paid products and professional support.

To avoid misinterpretation of the situation, let say that we guaranty the support and service by offering referred and approved staff to help you on your forum. This is not a freelancer’s directory, but a place where coders are paid for the work they execute.

A lot of products released here are free in form of « distribution and updates ». As a good example, our first release, iTrader, was free at first on vb.org, and is still released as a free product. The support for the free release will still be free, and we keep it updated for free as well.

The difference comes with the addons to the product. If we release some commercial addons for it, they will not be free, and their support will not be free either. Different prices can be applied per releases, and it is not a format to be discussed.

Same for our Multi-Type Forums engine, which will have its core completely free, but each « Type Addon » will be a paid product. The core is free for one reason: your prefered coder can create new addons for it, without being forced to go thru our own site. The files are uncrypted, anybody can provide suggestions and tweaks for it for free if they wish, because we will also have a « MTF Freebies » forum once released.

So that’s about it, we provide some products for free, but do not wait for free support, we’re not focussing on that, and this is a good guaranty for you that you will be answered by approved and efficient coders for which the coding task is a real job, not a hobby.
