# How to present this to your members… in your own words. but you can start a contest that the best avatar will win something, or make a poll for the best one, etc… it encourage interaction between members!

… and the avatar is good so the members know they are part of something!

Each section is for a specific product, each driven by a specific paid subscription.

As title say, each sub-forum in this section is suggesting a specific product that can be purchased by subscribing to the plan with its name.

When a section is having no thread is because we’re not releasing it right away… They are in test, or in development. we « announce » their arrival by teasing you with a product title and its description.

If you are not subscribing to a product yet, you can still ask a question or two in the main section. support and downloads are accessed only for the subscribers.

Timelife access to files: our system register what you were able to download, and you will continue to have access to these files until you break yourself the conditions of access *(piracy is a good reason)

the Presence engine is already on place, and it helps us keep track of what was downloaded, what version and how many times…

We also have a demo of each of these products, so you can check everything with screenshots or working demo before purchasing it… Refund for the reasons like « it’s not working », or « it’s not doing what it is supposed to », are not valid then…,

[Boofo], [Hambil], [MbyM] and the others…

You know them well; Robert Boofo Hindal, Hambil, Maria Avlatzi, Jason Rabel and some others… As they are now part of the past of vBulletin, they greedily accepted to let me take-over their work so people are not let on their own when using them.

As for Boofo who passed away sooner this summer, i had to make a public statement on what i was supposed to support after, as i was already supporting his tool on vbEnhancer, when the site was up.

Regarding Boofo’s work, it’s a bit different. Sooner this year, we made a deal that i would take over his work when he wouldn’t be able to set sail anymore… He then passed away sooner this summer, before we get time to set things up, so i have to recover his « pro » work in a different way, which cause a little delay on the support of all his work. But we’re on it.

Most of Boofo’s of the late 9 years were competing mine, so the decision was made to merge all these compatible tools to make only one of each. His « Spider Display on Forumhome » will be merged into my « Crawlers Bundle », which already have a similar usage but with more features… His « Ultimate Header Greeting » is a duplicate of my « Welcome Msg by the Hour », so merging both is also a solution… people will see no real difference as most of our merges will give similar results, just with more features.

Same for Hambil, who released some tools i’ve already took over long time ago, like the Weighted Polls, and Ico-Content, which is now the Up-to-Date « Nexia’s Answers Aggregator », which create 3 different lives on your site: random content with discussions, test site with a load of demo content, virtual members with life…

Maria’s stuff is a bit different. other coders have taken over her releases, which were coded by some paid coders who had a single goal, convert existing engines to vBulletin… this is different with the tools i have. i will not upgrade the converts, i will simply code new engines from zero. Classifieds, Personal Ads, Clubs, etc

There are other codes who demoted their work to be reusable, so i take that chance and do it my way… you will have these tools distributed in the different sections of this site, and i hope you’re pleased with them.

Move Orphan Threads to another Forum on Forum Deletion

Always wanted to « secure » your administration process when you edited/deleted forums?… Wanted to speedup the move of thousands of threads before deleting a forum?

This engine is very simply to understand, and is missing from vBulletin. I coded the original version inside Invision Board, and when i came to vBulletin i thought it was already integrated, but even 5 years after, it’s still missing.

When you delete a forum, with the default vBulletin, here is the screen you have:

This is kind of unsafe, you know nothing about what you’re about to delete, and you have no idea what to do with it. You are forced to move all these threads before thinking to delete the forum, and you are not always sure you’re deleting the right forum… So here is the solution:

Pretty different, isn’t it?

The dropdown is the list of your forums, the exact same dropdown you have when you Edit your forum and navigate thru it to choose a forum.

Once you submit this form, your forum will be deleted, BUT before that, all the threads are moved where you choose to, or not…

** This is the exact same version since vB 3.6, no need to upgrade if you already have it since. This release was posted here:

Indent OP Style

definition of « Indent » from Wikipedia: Text can be indented, meaning it is shifted horizontally from the margin to set it apart from surrounding text.

Give style to postbits of the thread’s original poster (op). check for the pro version to have total control over what and when!

##################################################
# How To Install:

… Simply use your Product Manager to Import the file contained in the folder « IMPORT_THIS »

##################################################
# What will it do?!

As you see in the screenshot, this product give a specific style to the posts of the thread starter (original poster). You can completely modify that style by editing the template « nex_indent_op.css ».

This is a very simple plugin after all, it only check if a post is made by the person who started a thread, and apply a specific look to it, so the other posters can see when the OP is replying. It is very popular in support forums, or question/answers threads…

##################################################
# what is in the PRO version? we focus on all the possibilities the word « indent » offers…

1- control on which forum this plugin works
2- control on which usergroup it is activated for
3- style first post as well
4- change first post postbit structure depending on type of forum *(article, faq, thread, announcement, etc)
5- highlight your own threads in forums lists *(user option based already by default in vb but now with style)
6- lowlight unanswered threads in forums lists
7- highlight threads when OP is last poster in forums lists *(per forum based)
8- add control on ads put in OP’s posts *(block or force)
9- open hook for other devs to add features to OP’s posts *(credits, xp, ranking, itrader, etc)

Are you a Human? if yes, play a little game!

as a spam stopper, the first step i took today was to have a better Human Verification System… i checked at the « Are you a Human » site and found this:

http://areyouahuman.com/demo

so if you see this, i suggest that you install it on your site, it’s a must to stop robots to register… better than Captcha!

… and this post is not sponsored, i’m just bored of all the non-working solutions!

Nexia’s Attachment Thumbnails for vB 3.x and 4.x

Always wanted to see what these images looked like in the Attachment Popup? (yeah, the paperclip you see in the Forumdisplay page)

The only thing that is changed is that each image attached to a thread now show its thumbnail *(if you activated the thumbnails in your manager AND if the usergroup have permission to view thumbnails)

here is the result in vBulletin 3.5 and above

and here is the result in vBulletin 4.x

This simple tweak will handle it very efficiently, without any dB change, no template edit… actually it’s a template replacement, which occur only when the product is active.

Nexia’s Additional CMS Blocks for Widgets

Add some styled blocks for your CMS!

These are to be used with « Static HTML » widgets… you can put everything you want in these, and they will always look good.

This is a major miss in the actual CMS, as we were unable to choose the style of our blocks… now we can!

This is a « product », not template edit… it’s more a lead on what you can do with templates than a feature, but as you simply have to import the file to have these 8 new templates, why not… i may add more in the future!

The Production demo can be seen here: https://unpapapro.com/vb4/content.php?116-nexia-s-additional-cms-blocks

Tutorial on How to use these Blocks:

It’s pretty simply actually… the Nexia’s Additional CMS Blocks feature let you give style to your CMS by offering you a wider variety of designs for your blocks. That offer a smarter way to display static content to your site.

When you go to your AdminCP >> vBulletin CMS >> Widgets menu

in the bottom, you have the button to create a new widget.

you then see a page like this:

… as you can see, in the scroll menu, you can select any type of widget you want. the demo shows « Static HTML », and this is exactly what you need to use actually… so Save this test after having a title and a « not so useful » description.

then, you are back at the Widgets Menu, and you see your new Widget in the list… at the right, you see the « Configure » link… use it!

This small popup has two fields to complete properly.

The first one is where you put your text/html… remember that it’s a html parser, so even if you put new lines etc, if they are not coded in html, they will not be formated as is in the widget.

The second field is where you put the new template name you want to use. based on what you see around this article, the left and right sidebars which contain examples of each of these templates, you choose the one you prefer…

* nex_block_html
* nex_block_justpad_html
* nex_block_naked_html
* nex_block_nohead_html
* nex_block_nohead_justpad_html
* nex_block_nohead_naked_html
* nex_block_nohead_nopad_html
* nex_block_nopad_html

and that’s it… you now have to go to your Layout Manager, select the layout you want to adjust, and edit it… you will now have the new widget you created in the list in the left flank of the page, and you can put it anywhere on that layout!

voilà! and good luck with your design!
