Ok so today i think i have finished off MTF releases (finally!)
Anyway i wanted to make sure i got all the features in so here is a run down of what ive included:
1. New Postbit – similar to vb.orgs but not same
2. Tag Modification
2a. View Tag Page Exists
3. The fowling custom fields: Price, Version, Supported, DB Changes, Uses Plugins, Edit Templates, Auto-Template Edits, Re-usable Code, Code Changes, Additional Files, Translations , External Content, Beta Stage
4. Attached Files are hidden until a license is purchased using credits UNLESS product is free in which case files can be downloaded with out a license
5. Payout Sets – In Admin CP you set up percents of profits are given on a set basis
5a. Sets can be forum specific with an option in the forum manager for payout set
6. Modifications Tab in User profile with that users Modifications
7. A View Licensed Mods Page where a table of all modifications that user has a purchases license for
8. Built-in support for my points engine

Things I Left Out which i didn’t feel fit that you might have expected (if you think i should add them tell me)
1. Installed Mods – Why have it when we have licenses?
2. Co-Authors – Why have it to begin with pretty much useless except for credit?
3. Coder/Designer Titles – Why would a company care?

I think thats about it any suggestions please tell me

Oh and one other thing how much should we charge for this?

Minimal hack that add « on the fly » the « New Thread » button alongisde of the « Reply » button on showthread when you have permission to post new threads.

We’ve seen this modifications in the templates before, but as you do not want to edit all your styles, and be forced to revert your templates and forget about this mod, it is obvious that a product is good enough.

What it does?

1- check if the forum permit new threads, like in forumdisplay
2- add a « New Post » button to the left of the usual « Reply » button when #1 is ok

The good thing is that if you have custom buttons in a style, you can edit the template named « nex_newthread_showthread » to fit your design…

For the ones who are not aware yet, this site have a really different way to display the Private Messaging pages… And i’ve updated the actual version of what is called « The Private Messaging Shelled » engine. Just go in the Complimentaries to profit from this gadget.

All bugs seems to be fixed, all typos checked, i even edited some xhtml to make it more compliant…

It’s a french expression, « La fin des haricots »… that means it’s the end of free distribution of gifts…

Lately, i was chatting with some coders who come here as friends and they were posting technical questions i was happy to answer because they were subscribers with the will to learn…

But at the same time, i was asked to help support on some hacks/tweaks that were small and simple. The only problem with that is that i now saw that these guys were not at all interested in learning, they were interested to have free codes for their profits. Some guy even had the arrogance to release paid scripts i coded with him… that is not a problem when they are small etc, but without any credit, and actually charging WAY TOO MUCH for the result, i think it’s insulting the clients.

So for these morons who think they can leech my time, i just say Hey, get out of my lawn …

If you need my help on a code now, you will have to do like anyother client… you hire me. I suppose it will break down the count of newbie coders who come here and say « Hi buddy »… and that’s good. This site is not about leeching codes, it’s about professional enhancements for the pleasure of it. I’m not loosing my time with coders anymore… go to vb.org if you want wizzies.

I’m justchecking if you are making progress on your project and the MTF, if any… you wanted to take over the project, but i’d like to have an eye on it as i’d like to see it live and working…

Note!! This screenshot and description was from photoshop cs2, though seeing as all the tools are present in the latest, the brief overview of tool descriptions will still give you an insight on what they do and how they perform.

At first, this complete engine is filtering all your forums based on specific details.

The first addon to it is the Language Driven Forums, which let you choose which language is applied to a forum, so if a member have a different language, the forum is hidden from display, to avoid collision. This is only useful for International Communities though.

The second addon will be a Age based filtering, which is simple to understand. If a member does not have the appropriate age, below or above age, the forum is not displayed and not accessible, depending on your own settings, per forum.

The third one is a Sex-based filter… same logic, this engine also add a new setting to the user-end side, they can now set their sex at registration or at their visit to the userCP. this setting is specific though, once set, the sex can not be modified until a moderator/admin approve the change — which lead to a new admincp panel to check that.

These two new addons are on the shelf, they need recoding to fit the new structure… they will be available to any client who purchase the Selective Filtered Forums subscription. And there is more to come, requests are accepted.

This is an addition to the registration process, where the users can select their own default language.

This is useful and activated only if you have more than one language on your forum…

This is a simple product upload, no file or template edit…

Remember that after registration, members can modify their language in the « Edit Options » menu.

This product is available and compatible for vBulletin 3.6.0 and up.

This tool is not provided anywhere else, and i suppose will never be, as i’m not releasing it publically.

With this engine, you have a full control over a Multi-Language forum. If you have a population of english, french, spanish and other languages, you may have a need for this if you have specific forums for each languages…

When you want to enforce the users to only see the forums they can post in, or the ones they can read in their own language, you can edit each of your forums to fit your needs, like on this screenshot:

This is for the Admincp where you edit your forums.

Now you can give your users the ability to choose what kind of forum they can see. On registration or when they edit their Profile options, they have these choices:

As an admin, you will continue to see all the forums, but you will see an indication of the language each forum is using, because the languageid for each modified forum will show in the forumlist… here is the view in the forum itself, on index and forumdisplay:

BTW, i’m releasing the « Language Driven Forums » engine right now, and it will be supported begining on monday too. That engine helps you drive your members in specific languages, and let you have specific sections of the site for these multi-national communities that need a more serious solution than to have multiple forums.
