100% of the images, icons and specific scripts used on this site are protected by licenses, copyrights or other policies.

If i see my content duplicated or stolen, i do not wait a second, and i alert the authors of the stolen elements without notice. If these guys are as serious as they work well, the thief will have big troubles…

The packs of icons and images that i did not produce on this site were purchased for their usage, they are all protected by copyright and i intend to make this license applied in all my work. If i have to create a theme for a client, the licenses for the icons are respected, so the client have to purchase these icons to integrate to their themes… same for anyother script or image.

this is my 2¢ regarding thiefs.

Never seen on tv, and even less in the vBulletin community, a minimalistic theme.

Usually used on a blog, this type of web structure is made for accessibility and flexibility in design. As vBulletin is table-filled, it is complicated to make a default theme look performant to the minimalistic style, but i’ve done it — and quickly i can tell.

without editing a single line of code for the style, i redesigned the CSS to look like the other parts of the site, based on Scott’s style from the blog part. I added some faded colors in the background because i do not have the same talent Scott have, and i wanted to make the forum look like a forum anyway, so i had to seperate the sections of the forum with fade colors instead of white spaces. but that will be fixed in the near future.

Also, you will see a lot of custom icons, smilies, buttons, that you will never see in anyother vBulletin forum… that’s because they are copyrighted, and you have to do like me to use them : pay the licenses!

One of the things i’m proud of in my work is to always retribute the guys who do the work i can’t handle… the best way to do so is to respect all licenses. So if you have to use someone’s script, design, or idea, please post the credits…

yeah, there was an internal fight at newmodifications.com, so there is no more development there… i don’t care about the problems, any team can go into fight or problems, this is not new in the market…

btw, i was helping on development of market and i was testing the codes, but as the coder have quit, i have nothing else to do there…

the problem was worst when the site admin decided that i was the one to take the followup of the project under his hand… i think he did not understand my goal there and as he never was able to handle the project like a real manager, serious and narrowed, it was obvious i was not in my place there…

Here is the answer Dr Erwin Loh gave me when i asked him if i would be permitted to port all his releases (the useful ones) on this site…

instead of just reading the title of a thread to automatically create tags from it, which is an abheration, here is how it works logically:

1- thread title = X4
2- firstpost content = X2
3- replies = 0.5X

take 1% of all words as a limit for X keywords for the thread.

so if a total of 500 words are found in a thread, we have a limit of 5 keywords/tags

using « Message Searching Relevance Options » as a source to calculate the tags %…

How to see branding free here?

Per website, not per license… i hate having to deactivate multiple scripts branding/copyright when working on a client’s site.

so the best thing to do is to provide a simple verification feed to deactivate each client’s branding line… (the client click the link in their adminCP, and if our site is providing a positive feed, the dB deactivate the proper line of code)

also, instead of site-wide brandings like on vBadvanced or vbCredits, which always break the display in some way, our branding can show only on the needed page, in the html code OR a text line, on the client’s choice…

i do not force the display of a branding, this is pointless… so if the client prefer to have no branding line, the line will show in the html source of the page… a comment so:

how do we protect ourselves then ?!… simple: we do not protect ourselves, the hackers work with me!

vbCredits is going to ionCube all their scripts with the new release… this is stupid because i do not accept any encoded scripts for my clients.

So if someone is ready to create a competitor to vbCredits, you’re welcome now. that stupidity is over, i lost my time waiting 13 months for John to finish the suite of my work, he was lazy and non-responding, so that’s about it.

a well known content-grabber from answers.yahoo.com was abandonned from his former author. Hambil, the guy with the hamster, the code author of the engine, is vanished from the market and as i was the closest coder/audit on the project… i decided that ico-content deserved a little more support, so nexialys.net will now be the host of the engine… if you are a Ico-Content client, you can contact us, or register here for the updates that will come by the end of august.

Based on the well known phpAuctions, we need a complete auction engine, product of vBulletin, with two types of auctions.

A simple interface where members can create their own pages via rss feeds
(external sources). I’m aware that some already exists for free – but they
are not what I’m looking for. If you have something like this let me know.
