On friday the 30th of october, an event of extraordinary proportion will occur.  Our invited guests will face the first evening of our Halloween-ish Event on RUST.

There is always at least one Halloween Event on Rust each year… this time, we may have two… at least! Because it is important to celebrate the most important day of the year!

We’re not sure yet who will be on the set, but let’s say that they all have cameras and mics open for this special occasion, and we will try our best to make them scream at least one time that evening.

Once the VIP moment take place, we will open the server so everybody in the Rust community can play for the whole weekend, until monday morning.

This will be the event that start the life of this magazine. Rust Exposed is just what was missing in the universe!

Oh… btw… We already have a first name:  Niko is customizing monuments for this special!

You know Halloween, kids roam the streets at dusk to loot trick or treats. It’s your turn now… but instead of the streets, you can trick or treat on the island. Today’s scenario for Halloween is quite simple: the island is turned upside down to become a real nightmare for all players.

 

It is dusk time. Halloween is well known to give headaches and amnesia to everyone. There is nothing like the old days of a naked spawning on a beach with a rock. You’re simply dressed, falling from a car on the road to nowhere. Not a single place is recognizable, the map is crap… not a single building or location means a thing to you, and resources are not what they used to be… this is creepy.

 

This is not a halloween-only map, and you will not be invaded with millions of zombies… or so? It is what we will call a Extreme PVE situation, where you have to PVP with the elements. PVP pros will be very active this weekend.

 

This is originally a 5X server no-BP… but this weekend, Trees and Nodes are useless until dawn. To build your base, you will have to kill scientists, scarecrows, mommies, surgeons, zombies, foes and friends…

 

The server time will be set to Dusk time for 48 hours, so you need to be lightened to see things… and not always the best idea if you’re tracked.

We will not give too much hints, because this is a surprise map.. It’s not like the usual tweak or like the last years a single monument with a dark mood… it’s an entire 20 km2 map, with so much stuff, doors can’t be held forever…

I was watching the MadMax quadrilogy and was thinkin’ that the whole thing would do a great scenario for Rust… And as they announced a Prequel to Furiosa’s presence in Fury Road, whatelse can we suggest that « She was searching beyond the wasteland for redemption »…

And that’s exactly what this Rust Map is doing… suggesting that beyond the desert and the neutral shift, there is a land where things are different… A land of trees and rivers, a land of community and life.  Something that was suggested in Beyond Thunderdome, and forgotten… A forest where monsters eat wastelanders, and where you can not trespass.

You can consider this map as a Roleplay-based Staging, but you can work it out without the scenario.  Here we go with the back-story: You do not spawn naked « on a beach » with a rock in this map, but directly in the middle of nowhere, in the desert, surrounded by clan bases and sand.  In the distance, you see two realities:  sand of the wasteland in the north, and the unknown forest in the south.

Clans usually install their bases in the desert or the arid parts of a map… this is the best thing that can bring this scenario… 2/3 of the map is desert… like in the movies.

Clans and solo can fight for the control of different prominent locations, like the factory or the harbour. But there is also a tower, which has a perfect view of the entire territory. Who will be the king of the tower?

The wasteland is a desert, with oasis and dried out rivers…

How to find resources and food when everything is controled by the biggest clans?  why not turn yourself to the forest and try to cooperate with the locals? There are two different outposts that are the limits of the territories.  If you go further the outpost from the wasteland, what will you find?

This is a custom map, so most of the monuments on the map are completely different from what you see in the Procedural Maps… and every road and tracks are handmade…Oh,and yes, alittle easter-egg…  The thunderdome can be seen in the background, and who dares invest it…

This mean if you feel the urge to cause trouble, to kill everyone for no fuckin’ reason, you want to show your superiority but nobody wants it, you are experiencing a seizure… Act accordingly based on the suggestion.
